What's worse than a break up?

Hello there. Newly single me reporting for duty. As a blogger. Not... anything else.

So today we're going to talk about break ups. After I posted a status "announcing" that I'm single, I got some attention. I just want to inform people, not planning to giving juicy details about my love life. I'm not going to talk (much) about this break up in particular of course. It's very low to bad mouth your ex, especially somewhere people can see, share, throw around and discuss after a few awkward silences. Find your own topic of discussion.

I want to talk about how break ups make me sad. And happy. More happy than sad.

Break ups make me sad because... of nosy people. Yes. What is worse than a break up is the need to explain it over and over again to people who ask about it. Honestly, you think it's sensible to ask someone to repeat that sad sloppy-love-story-went-bad?

The truth is, the people who should know would know about what happened. If you get to know that I broke up through social media, we're probably not exactly bffs to begin with, so... why should I tell you about my dysfunctional relationship again?

Although I imagine how it would turn out once in awhile, my life is not The Truman Show. Nor is it Keeping up with the Kardashians. No reality show here. Just reality reality. I don't need to explain my life to you. Of course I can when I want to, but I'm definitely not obligated to.

Now, about why I'm happy.

Because I've been showered with love and affection. And the break up is not a typical "I hate you get out of my life" break up. We're cool. If you know us, you'll know we're both "chilled" people. So thank you for your concern and love, and invitation to hang out. I'm fine. Really. And it's also during these times I see who really cares about me.

The difference between "showing concern" and "being nosy" is how much you want details. A concerned person will ask "what happened?" but doesn't really care if I answer the question; a nosy person would ask "what happened?", and mean it.

Thank you for your concern, my dearly beloved. Do not worry, for I am well. Big virtual hugs and sloppy virtual kisses to everyone. Even nosy people.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au revoir~
p.s. If you're offended, it probably means you're the nosy one. Well... I don't care. =D

The Dumb Down

A male friend told me that he noticed me dumbing down while talking to another female blogger.

*Dum dum dum*

Pun intended

I didn't realize that until he pointed it out to me. I took a step back *mentally looking at the bigger picture* and realize holy moooooo,  I do that when I talk to all female bloggers!! I talk like normal to guys, sometimes a tad flirtatious, but why dumb down when talking to the girls? Well of course there are a few exceptions, the few that actually show that they're... not bimbotic.

Well why?

Honestly, a lot of female bloggers don't show signs of intelligence/ knowledge while blogging. I'm not saying that because of that, they're dumb, just that since whatever I read coming from them are about beauty, events, parties, food, i.e. nothing that needs too much brain juice to churn out, I've subconsciously hurled them into the "please-dumb-down-when-talking to" category.

Then I took another step back *mentally looking at the bigger, bigger picture*

Holy mother of mooooooooooooooo! I'm in that category too!

I'm not that dumb. So why do I turn into an (amateur) bimbo when I blog? Ok, because no one likes to read the lengthy blog post with no pretty face/ cleavage pictures. Well, some people prefer that, but the general pool of readers would like... some eye-candy.

Proof? You don't need proof. Because most of us would prefer reading comics than lengthy articles that requires you to draw your own mental image.

Go to the few younger famous bloggers' blogs, and what do you see? Fashion posts, food, make up; all stamped with their happy, pretty, smiling faces, living lives that the general population can barely afford. Is this how I want to see the world? With eyes envy, or worse, jealousy? And jealousy for what? That they have rich parents? Most of them don't even have a job. (If blogging is not counted)

No siree! Young girls shouldn't look up to rich kids. As motivation, yes; as a life mentor on how to spend their parents' money? Absolutely non!

Pay for your own expenses if you want to live lavishly. Your parents owe you nothing.

So back to my point. From now on, my posts would be more... profound (pfftt). Profound is as profound as the amateur bimbo can get. Of course since this is my personal blog, there'll be life updates, rants, advertorials (which would be the least) and random updates which I want to tell the world. (World: limited to whoever takes the time to read them).

That's it for today.

That's what J_Fish has to say~ Au Revoir~

p.s. Want to see more pictures? Follow me Dayre or Instagram. Both which I don't update that very often.
